Alex Smith gives teammates the perfect gift for offensive linemen

Washington quarterback Alex Smith surprised his offensive linemen this week with gifts, as a thank you for protecting him all season, which continues to be one of the best comeback stories in NFL history.

Left tackle Cornelius Lucas shared the endowments on Instagram, each of which, according to Post reporter Nicki Jhabvala, includes a Traeger grill and accompanying wood pellets, meat from Snake River Farms to cook on it, and Don Julio 1942 tequila.

That's quite a haul. To give you an idea of the financial commitment:

Snake River Farms (Boise, ID) — the self-proclaimed "Pioneers of American Wagyu" — offers a rolled cap of American Wagyu ribeyes (10 oz.) two-pack for $179 on its website.

The Traeger Pro 575 pellet grill — which looks to be the model Smith gifted — uses "WiFIRE® technology," allowing you to "monitor and adjust your grill anytime, anywhere from the Traeger app on your smartphone." It retails for $799.99.

And a 1.75 liter bottle of Don Julio 1942 Tequila retails for around $430.

Whenever the offseason hits for Washington, Lucas, Wes Schweitzer, Chase Roullier, Brandon Scherff, Morgan Moses, David Sharpe, Wes Martin and Keith Ismael can fire up their Traeger wood-pellet grills, throw on some American Wagyu steaks (with "deep flavor and sublime marbling"), and keep a watchful eye on them with WiFIRE® technology, all while sipping on some fine Don Julio 1942.
