No, that wasn't a dream. John Wall was actually traded to Houston last week for Russell Westbrook.

The longtime Wizards star arrived in Texas last week and, over the weekend, the first images of Wall sporting Rockets gear surfaced, a tough sight to see for Wizards fans, many of whom were brought to tears by the move.

Seeing Wall in anything other than Wizards' red, white, and blue is jarring.

In his first press conference with the Rockets, Wall thanked the Wizards organization for his time in D.C., reaffirming his top priority is getting back on track after missing nearly two seasons with injuries.

"I wish that whole team, the organization, the best of luck this year," Wall told Houston media this weekend. "But my main focus is with my new team, the Rockets, and what I'm trying to accomplish: come back and be an All-Star player and be that player that everybody feels like I don't have no more."

Already gut-wrenching enough for Wizards fans, the trade also signaled the end of the John Wall-Bradley Beal tag team partnership after eight years. Both players shared their thoughts on each other this weekend.

(Trigger Warning: It's about to get dusty in here.)

Beal's Wizards face Wall's Rockets for the first time on Jan. 26 in Houston, a date you can bet Wall has circled on his calendar.
