The news that Chris Paul was going to Golden State for Jordan Poole sort of foreshadowed it, but, it appears the Suns and Wizards have finalized the Bradley Beal trade.

And so, for Beal, Jordan Goodwin, and Isaiah Todd, the Wizards will get CP3, Landry Shamet, six second-round picks – one each year from 2024-2028 and one in 2030 – and the right to swap first-round picks in 2024, 2026, 2028, and 2030.

Because of the 2030 picks being involved, the trade cannot be officially finalized until after this year’s draft.

So, as it stands, in moving Beal, Porzingis, Goodwin and Todd, and then Paul, the Wizards will end up with a long-term asset in Jordan Poole; expiring contracts in Tyus Jones, Danilo Gallinari, and Mike Muscala; one to three years of Landry Shamet; this year’s No. 35 pick and seven future seconds; a protected first-rounder; and four pick swaps.

Let the rebuild begin.
