Well, that return didn't last long: Stephen Strasburg is back on the disabled list.
Not that I doubted the accuracy of the https://t.co/sTYLmRdpEM page, but have confirmed this is actually happening. Initial sense is it's related to the previous DL stint (shoulder inflammation), though haven't heard anything specific yet. https://t.co/FSZh8MkwWN

July 26, 2018 Strasburg was originally placed on the DL back in June with right shoulder inflammation, but made his return on July 20 in an 8-5 loss to the Braves. Strasburg gave up six runs in just 4 2/3 innings in the start, and had a heated exchange with Max Scherzer in the dugout after he was pulled.
In fact, it's possible that part of Strasburg's frustration stemmed from the fact he still didn't feel fully recovered.
Obviously, was taken by surprise by this move, but at the same time, it fits. My time-tested, hard-and-fast rule: If Strasburg doesn't pitch well, he doesn't think he is right. He must not have felt he was right Friday (perhaps part of frustration displayed). Results support it.

July 26, 2018 Strasburg's continued injury struggles leave the Nationals with a hole in their starting rotation during the most critical part of their season. Strasburg was scheduled to pitch Friday in Miami, forcing the Nats to call up Tommy Milone to face the Marlins, according to MLB.com's Jamal Collier.
The Nats plan to call up LHP Tommy Milone to start tonight vs MIA, per a source. He has a 4.19 ERA in 20 starts at Triple A Syracuse
