Terry McLaurin proves he is Redskins' best player
Sam Navarro-USA TODAY Sports

The Washington Redskins may have struck gold in the third round of the 2019 NFL Draft.

With the selection of wide receiver Terry McLaurin out of Ohio State, the Redskins have what looks like a legitimate talent. After six games, he looks to be Washington's best player and he came up huge in the Skins' 17-16 win over the Miami Dolphins.

He opened the scoring with a 25-yard touchdown pass from Case Keenum in the first half to give the Redskins a 7-3 halftime lead.

McLaurin had everyone completely cised.

I love him so much.

Sick route by McLaurin on a post corner. Really sold the post hard before bending it back out. Called touchdown when he was still at the 10. Completely turned the CB inside out. That kid is sick. #Redskins lead 7-0.

Whoever stood on the table to draft Terry McLaurin should be the new GM of the Redskins immediately.

But Scary Terry wasn't done yet. He had another big touchdown in him in the second half.

Terry McLaurin does it again! #Redskins up 14-3 on the Dolphins. Have a day Scarry Terry. #WASvsMIA pic.twitter.com/kttYmpa9wk

Terry McLaurin = draft steal. #HTTR

McLaurin now with 50+ yds and at least a TD in 4 of his first 5 games. Rookie record for games with 50+ yds/1+ TD is Randy Moss with 9.Add in a 5 rec min and there are 3 players with 6 such games as rookies. McLaurin needs 3 rec today to make it 4 such games already for him.

McLaurin finished with four catches for 100 yards and two touchdowns, but it wasn't a perfect day from the rookie. A bad drop late in the game left a big play on the board.

First drop for McLaurin, was a nice throw too by Keenum. Would have been a big play coming off the Dolphins TD drive pic.twitter.com/Ql3TPfWna8

That’s McLaurin’s first huge mistake as a rookie. Not bad for five games in, but man that’s a big drop. Could’ve run for another 20 at least.

Of course, Scary Terry made up for the mistake late in the game.

Terry McLaurin makes up for his earlier drop. #Redskins were backed up on their own 1, McLaurin with a terrific release and nice head fake before breaking outside. Then went and tracked down the ball for a huge first down pic.twitter.com/jRMm9bZzdr

Despite the shakiness at the end from the Redskins defense allowing the Dolphins back in the game, McLaurin proved he is Washington's most special offensive player once again Sunday.
