While everything is not right in D.C. Sports, Sunday's hellish main course was preempted by two heartwarming appetizers.

The Capitals dropped a second game in OT, falling 5-4 on their home ice to the Columbus Blue Jackets to go down 0-2 in the opening-round playoff series. But, prior to that, Brett Connolly helped make this moment happen, making sure this charming young Caps fan received a puck after she was robbed twice by the two greedy youngsters next to her.

Across town, the Nationals were busy dropping their third game in four days to the visiting Rockies, which culminated with a 6-5 defeat on Sunday. After homers by Nats catcher Matt Wieters and Rockies second baseman D.J. LeMahieu reached opposing fans in the right-center field seats, the little tykes -- the Rockies fan with Wieters' home run ball, and the Nats fan with LeMahieu's -- decided to swap souvenirs.
