Three-time national championship winning head coach Urban Meyer is attending Sunday's Redskins-Eagles game at FedEx Field, reports JP Finlay of NBC Sports Washington.

The Redskins will be in the market for a head coach after this season, which makes Meyer's presence noteworthy, although the reason for his visit is unclear.

Meyer coached Redskins quarterback Dwayne Haskins at Ohio State and has been as ardent a supporter of the passer since he was drafted 15th overall in 2019.

Urban Meyer is at FedEx Field today, per source. Former Ohio State head coach is a huge target for NFL teams looking for new coaches, and with Dwayne Haskins at QB, Redskins would love to land Meyer.

The Athletic's Rhiannon Walker later spotted Meyer in the owner's box.

Can definitely confirm Urban Meyer is at FedEx Field and in the owner’s box, too #HTTR pic.twitter.com/z2eRgx1SRD

As Craig Hoffman notes, Meyer has a number of former players at FedEx from his former coaching stops at Ohio State, Florida and Utah.

Meyer's got players from three schools on the #Redskins roster. Alex Smith (Utah), Bostic & Reed from Florida and then Haskins/McLaurin from OSU. https://t.co/ockvwISWZn

Meyer attended the annual Army-Navy Game in Philadelphia on Saturday. And by Sunday, he had made the trip down to FedEx for Redskins-Eagles.

As Washington's 3-10 regular season winds down, questions abound about the future of the organization. Will interim head coach Bill Callahan get the opportunity to continue on in a full-time capacity next season? What will happen – if anything – with team president Bruce Allen, whose job security could be up in the air.
To that end, Allen took his normal place along the Redskins sideline before Sunday's game.

Just saw Bruce Allen taking an elevator upstairs at FedEx Field by himself. No other front office members with him. No security. Just him
