The NBA Draft Lottery results will be announced tonight before tipoff of the Lakers-Nuggets game, and we only know two things for sure about the Wizards: they have a 6.7 percent chance of getting the No. 1 overall pick, and will select eighth if the lottery goes chalk.

The Junkies had a little discussion about the Wizards’ chances Tuesday morning…and EB is PUMPED.

“I think this town is sleeping on it, but this could be such a game-changer,” EB said. “We have a 6.7 percent chance of winning, but Cakes did five sims on Tankathon and the Wizards won twice – and if they win, it will be the biggest thing to happen to this franchise when they won the championship.”

The prize for winning is Victor Wembanyama, who The Athletic called “that good,” and said “Wembanyama landing (in DC) would be the biggest thing to hit the Washington franchise since the team acquired Chris Webber.”

JP then went into Wembanyama’s history, and how the over 7-footer was groomed to be a complete basketball player from Day 1 – and in came Johnny Downer.

“I understand there is potential euphoria, but it’s more likely the Wizards pick between 8 and 10,” Cakes said. “I like to grasp, but that’s overwhelming odds – and here’s what will get me: if the Wizards vault into the Top 3, but get No. 2 and miss out on the transformational player.”

The Wizards have won the lottery twice, once getting Kwame Brown and once John Wall – what will come this year? Listen to the guys discuss Wembanyama and the chances of the Wizards winning the lottery above!
