Antonio Brown played in the Super Bowl last year. This year, the enigmatic wideout may be watching from the owner’s suite.
Brown posted a receipt on Instagram of his alleged $2 million purchase of the box, alongside $32,500 for VIP seating. There are multiple reasons to question the validity of the purchase, beginning with the fact the invoice is dated Feb. 7, 2021. Of course, it is now 2022.
The invoice is also addressed to “Great Buy,” whatever that is.
Sports business reporter Darren Rovell shared the receipt on Twitter, and said the incorrect date is a “typo.” He didn’t offer an explanation for the hotmail account, however.
Brown purchased the alleged seats on behalf of Kanye West’s new business venture, Donda Sports, where he was recently named president. “As President, it was important to me to book the Donda Suite for this year’s SUPERBOWL LVI,” Brown wrote on Instagram. “This is a game meant to be watched together,” he wrote on Instagram. “This is the love and unity we need to push. THIS IS FOR THE KIDS, OUR NEXT GENERATION!!!”
Brown posted a photo with Kanye last month. Oh, to be a fly on the wall for those conversations.
Brown stripped off his uniform and quit the Buccaneers mid-game this season after a dispute with head coach Bruce Arians. Arians says he refused to play, whereas Brown says Arians was forcing him to play through injury.
Last month, Brown said he intends to pursue legal action against Tampa Bay.
