49ers breakout star Brock Purdy's dream rookie season continue with Sunday's convincing win over the Seattle in the NFL playoffs.
After a shaky first half, Purdy and his 49ers teammates dropped the hammer on the Seattle in the third and fourth quarters, cruising to a comfortable 41-23 victory.
The performance earned Purdy plenty of plaudits on social media, including from none other than the King himself, LeBron James.
"PURDY GOT GAME!!!!!!!!!," James declared on Twitter.
Purdy seemed genuinely flattered when he was told about James' tweet after the game.
"That's awesome," he said. "That's so cool."
Purdy, the final pick in last year's draft, struggled a bit in the first two quarters on Saturday, going 9-of-19 with a touchdown. He appeared out of sorts at times, particularly in the second quarter.
But in the second half he recaptured the form that made him one of the NFL's top rookies in the regular season, going 9-of-11 with touchdowns. He finished with a cool 332 passing yards and no interceptions.
James wasn't the only one impressed by the former Iowa State standout's showing:
