London (WGR 550) - The Buffalo Bills headed to London for the first time in eight years, but failed to come up with a victory on a second try.
Playing the Jacksonville Jaguars once again overseas, the Bills fell behind early and failed to gain any ground back in a 25-20 loss at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Bills quarterback Josh Allen was able to complete 27-of-40 passing attempts on the day for 359 yards and two touchdowns, but was also picked off once on a drive in the fourth quarter. Allen also led the way for the Bills on the ground in a tough day for the run game with only 14 yards and a score.
Despite decent numbers on the stat sheet again for Allen, the offense had a tough time moving the ball consistently throughout the game. He feels the team needs to have more urgency in their play.
"Little bit of tempo and just trusting what we were seeing on film, and getting to a good place, I guess," said Allen on Sunday following the loss. "We came out late in that third quarter, early fourth and felt like we had some more urgency, and we didn't have that early on in the game. So we've got to be better with that."
Allen took a lot of the blame onto his shoulders as to why the team wasn't ready, as well. He says as a team captain, he needs to help the team prepare better.
"We didn't take care of the little things, and that's us captains making sure that this team is ready to go," Allen said. "The opposing team, they were ready to go today. We weren't."
