The NBA has fined Brooklyn Nets assistant coach David Vanterpool $10,000 for interfering with live play in Wednesday's 119-118 victory over the Wizards.
With five minutes and 42 seconds remaining in the fourth quarter, Vanterpool reached across the sideline and deflected a Spencer Dinwiddie pass to Kyle Kuzma, causing a turnover in the Nets' favor.
The refs didn't notice Vanterpool interfering, so no punishment was meted out during the game. Brooklyn ultimately won by a point, 119-118.
In addition to fining Vanterpool, the NBA has fined the Brooklyn Nets organization $25,000 for the incident.
