
Furman Basketball edged Western Carolina in Sunday's SoCon Tournament Semifinals in Asheville. The Paladins now find themselves back in the conference finals for the second straight year taking on Chattanooga.

The Paladins led at half over Western Carolina but went cold in the 2nd half, scoring just 27 points after the break. The game would go to overtime tied at 72. Furman would go 4 for 4 from the foul line in the final 30 seconds of OT, to win 83-80.
They will now take on Chattanooga in the SoCon Finals, Monday night. The Paladins will look for retribution after losing to Chattanooga on a buzzer beater in last year's tournament final.
The Mocs are the 7 seed, they pulled an upset on #2 seed Samford on Saturday. They then downed Wofford in the SoCon Semifinals Sunday night, 74-62. Furman swept the pair of regular season meetings between the two teams.
With a win the Paladins will claim their 1st SoCon Tournament Title and bid to the NCAA Tournament in over four decades. Furman and Chattanooga tip off at 7 Pm Monday night, catch all the action on The Fan Upstate.
