Panthers playoff hopes dashed in 30-24 loss at Tampa Bay

The Carolina Panthers dropped an ever important game yesterday after leading from most of the day. In a game heard on Classic Rock 101.1, the Panthers fell at Tampa Bay 30-24. Carolina led 7-0 after the 1st, 14-10 at the half and carried that same lead into the 4th.

The Panthers then allowed 20 points on three Tampa touchdown drives in the final frame. Carolina still had a chance in the game's final minute, but Tampa got a stop on the Panthers final drive to seal the win.

Tom Brady was in prime form going 34 for 45 passing for 432 yards and 3 touchdowns. WR DJ Moore was a bright spot for the Panthers, he had 6 catches for 117 yards and a TD. Upstate native Shi Smith had a TD catch for Carolina, as well.

The Panthers are now eliminated from playoff contention after coming into the game with a chance to win the NFC South Division.
