(670 The Score) Bears kicker Eddy Pineiro has been named the NFC Special Teams Player of the Week after he drilled a 53-yard field goal as time expired to lift his team to a 16-14 win against the Broncos on Sunday.\
It marked the career-long field goal for Pineiro, who spent 2018 on injured reserve and earned the Bears' kicking job after being acquired from the Raiders in a trade in May and winning a lengthy competition. Pineiro was 3-of-3 on field-goal attempts on the day, also converting from 40 yards and 52 yards. It marked the first time a Bears kicker made two field goals of 50 or more yards in a game since 2011.
Pineiro is one of three kickers to hit multiple 50-yard field-goal attempts in the first two weeks of the season.
