(670 The Score) Blackhawks winger Patrick Kane has been named an All-Star for the eighth time in his career.
Kane is the Blackhawks' lone representative and will play for the Central Division team. Kane's 50 points are tied for the eighth-most in the NHL, and his 22 goals are tied for 12th.
Blackhawks center Jonathan Toews is among seven players in the "Last Men In" voting in the Central Division, so he still has a chance to receive an All-Star bid. That voting is done by the fans and begins this Thursday, running for a week.
The All-Star Game is Jan. 26 in San Jose.
