Report: Bulls Add Roy Rogers As Assistant Coach

(670 The Score) The Bulls have reached a deal to hire Roy Rogers as an assistant on coach Jim Boylen's staff, K.C. Johnson of the Tribune reported Monday afternoon.

Rogers and the Bulls reached a three-year deal, per reports.

Rogers, 45, spent the last three seasons on the Rockets' staff and is known as a defensive-minded coach. He also served on the bench for the Celtics, Nets, Pistons and Wizards previously. He played parts of three seasons in the NBA after being drafted 22nd overall by the Grizzlies in 1996.

Rogers fills a void that opened when longtime Bulls organizational figure Pete Myers resigned from his post as assistant coach last week, citing personal reasons.
