(670 The Score) Bears special teams standout Cordarrelle Patterson has been named to the Associated Press All-Pro first team as a kickoff returner.
It marks the fifth career All-Pro selection that Patterson has earned. He averaged 29.5 yards per kickoff return in 2019, a figure that ranked second in the NFL.
Patterson's career average of 29.9 yards per kickoff return is second only to Hall of Famer Gale Sayers, who averaged 30.6 yards per return in his career.
Patterson returned a kickoff 102 yards for a touchdown in a loss on Oct. 20. That was his seventh kickoff returned for a touchdown in his career, leaving him one shy of the all-time NFL record.
Patterson also earned Pro Bowl honors this season, marking the third such selection in his career.
