CHICAGO (670 The Score) -- All-Pro safety Eddie Jackson tested his right ankle hours before kickoff at Soldier Field on Sunday and passed in the eyes of the Bears' training staff.

Jackson was officially listed as active for the Bears' game against the defending Super Bowl champion Eagles in the wild-card round, adding a key figure to the Chicago defense. He had missed the past two games with an ankle sprain that he suffered on Dec. 16.

However, the Bears will be without tight end Trey Burton, who suffered a groin injury Saturday at some point in the team's pregame preparation.

Burton didn't appear to test himself out during pregame warmups. How the injury occurred isn't yet known, and Bears officials deferred to coach Matt Nagy's postgame press conference for an explanation. A former Eagle, Burton has 54 receptions for 569 yards and six touchdowns this season.

The return of Jackson bolsters the Bears' top-ranked defense for the postseason, adding a player who recorded six interceptions and two defensive touchdowns this season. Jackson was selected to the AP All-Pro team and Pro Bowl.

The Bears will be without Burton, outside linebacker Aaron Lynch (elbow), receiver Kevin White, guard Eric Kush, tackle Rashaad Coward, receiver Javon Wims and defensive lineman Nick Williams.

Kickoff between the Bears (12-4) and Eagles (9-7) comes at 3:40 p.m. CT from Soldier Field.
