CHICAGO (670 The Score) -- The Bears officially ruled out several key starters in declaring inactives for their matchup against the Vikings at Soldier Field on Sunday afternoon.

Linebacker Roquan Smith (personal), defensive lineman Akiem Hicks (knee) and guard Kyle Long (hip) are all inactive. Hicks and Long were both game-time decisions. Meanwhile, Smith was downgraded to doubtful just 20 minutes before inactives were set. Smith's absence is due to personal reasons, the team said.

The Bears' other inactives are defensive lineman Bilal Nichols (hand fracture), Taylor Gabriel (concussion), cornerback  Kevin Toliver and running back Mike Davis, who revealed on Instagram last Wednesday that his father passed away. He was excused from the team during practice.

With Davis among the inactives, the Bears have just two active running backs in David Montgomery and Tarik Cohen. Receiver Cordarrelle Patterson has also previously stepped in at the running back position.

The Vikings' inactives include guard Josh Kline and linebacker Kentrell Brothers.

Kickoff between the Bears (2-1) and Vikings (2-1) comes at 3:25 p.m. CT from Soldier Field. The game can be heard on WBBM Newsradio 780.
