Trubisky Among 26 Bears Not Playing Against Giants

(670 The Score) Quarterback Mitchell Trubisky is among a group of 26 key Bears players who aren't expected to play against the Giants in the second preseason game Friday night, the team announced.

The Bears will be led mostly by reserve players on their 90-man roster. The decision comes after a game-simulating structured scrimmage at Hall Hall on Wednesday night that allowed action in a controlled setting for Chicago's starters.

The list of players who aren't expected to play is comprised of the following, according to the Bears: Trubisky, Akiem Hicks, Eddie Goldman, Bilal Nichols, Khalil Mack, Danny Trevathan, Roquan Smith, Leonard Floyd, Kyle Fuller, Ha Ha Clinton-Dix, Eddie Jackson, Prince Amukamara, Buster Skrine, Taylor Gabriel, Cordarrelle Patterson, Adam Shaheen, Trey Burton, Bobby Massie, James Daniels, Cody Whitehair, Charles Leno, Kyle Long, Tarik Cohen, Allen Robinson II, Anthony Miller and David Montgomery.

The Bears also confirmed that the veteran guard Long didn't travel with the team after he was at the center of heated altercation in the scrimmage Wednesday.

Kickoff between the Bears and Giants comes at 6:30 p.m. CT from MetLife Stadium.
