INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (670 The Score) -- After undergoing surgery on his left shoulder in January, receiver Anthony Miller could be limited during portions of the Bears' offseason program this spring.

Miller underwent surgery shortly after the Bears' season ended in with a loss to the Eagles in the wild-card round on Jan. 6, and it addressed a dislocation of his left shoulder that occurred multiple times in his rookie season. The injury required consistent maintenance during the season to keep Miller healthy enough to play 15 regular-season games.

"He's doing well," Bears general manager Ryan Pace said. "We'll have to progress through the offseason. There's not a timeline, but he's right on pace."

Miller was second among all rookie receivers with seven touchdowns in 2018, when he caught 33 of 54 targets and recorded 433 yards. The Bears selected Miller in the second round of the 2018 NFL Draft, sending their 2019 second-round pick to the Patriots in order to trade up and select him.

"I really liked what Anthony did this year," coach Matt Nagy said. "It's what we saw on tape. Not a lot of guys have more confidence than him, which I love. You got to see, No. 1, how much could he handle of the offense as we went. And we didn't know that. But he took a lot of the offense on and did a great job with it. We put him in different spots to make plays. You saw that happen. For him, mentally, he gets to see, 'OK, how do I play this game as a true professional?' It's 100 percent football all the time. He's learning that. He's becoming a student of the game."

The Bears had no other players undergo surgery this offseason. They expect to begin workouts in May with an otherwise healthy group.
