Bears K Eddy Pineiro Active Vs. Redskins

LANDOVER, Md. (670 The Score) -- Bears kicker Eddy Pineiro is officially active and will play in the team's game at the Washington Redskins on Monday night. Meanwhile, the team will be without starting right tackle Bobby Massie, who's inactive due to an illness.

Pineiro experienced a minor knee injury Friday in the Bears' weight room, which landed him on the injury report. However, he was on the field two hours before kickoff warming up and preparing to play.

Bears safety Eddie Jackson (knee), guard Kyle Long (hip) and tight end Trey Burton (groin) are all also active after being previously listed as questionable. The team ruled out defensive tackle Bilal Nichols (hand fracture) on Friday.

The Bears' other inactives are defensive back Kevin Toliver, defensive back Sherrick McManis, running back Kerrith Whyte Jr., linebacker Josh Woods and receiver Riley Ridley. Chicago waived tight end Bradley Sowell on Monday afternoon, activating defensive lineman Anderson Abdullah to the 53-man roster.

The Redskins are without tight end Jordan Reed (concussion), who was officially ruled out Friday.

Kickoff between the Bears (1-1) and Redskins (0-2) comes at 7:15 p.m. CT from FedEx Field. The game can be heard on WBBM Newsradio 780.
