CHICAGO (670 The Score) -- White Sox left fielder Eloy Jimenez exited the game in the second inning against the Twins on Sunday afternoon after he collided with the left-field wall an inning earlier. He was dealing with light-headedness, the team announced.
With two outs in the first inning, Jimenez ran hard into the left-field wall at Guaranteed Rate Field while tracking back on a grand slam by Twins center fielder Jake Cave. It appeared his head struck the fencing as he pursued the ball without realizing his proximity to the wall.
In the second inning, Jimenez moved lightly to a double in the left-center field gap hit by Twins left fielder Eddie Rosario. He then left the game in apparent discomfort.
Jimenez was replaced in left field by Nicky Delmonico, who shifted over from right field. Adam Engel assumed Delmonico's place in right field.
White Sox right-hander Reynaldo Lopez also exited with right shoulder tightness, the team announced. Lopez left with two outs in the first inning after allowing a single that followed Cave's grand slam. He appeared to be in pain after throwing his 38th pitch of the inning.
The White Sox trailed the Twins 9-0 at the time of Jimenez's injury in the second inning.
