(670 The Score) The Cubs on Wednesday claimed lefty reliever C.D. Pelham off waivers from the Rangers.
Pelham, 24, had a 7.04 ERA in 10 appearances for the Rangers in 2018. He has spent the rest of his career in the minor leagues, where he has a career 5.51 ERA. Pelham had a 11.97 ERA in 42 relief appearances split between Double-A and Triple-A in 2019.
The Cubs' 40-man roster now sits at 38 players.
