Report: Cubs' Baez Pulls Out Of Home Run Derby

(670 The Score) After receiving an invitation to compete, Cubs shortstop Javier Baez has pulled out of the Home Run Derby at the All-Star festivities in Cleveland on Monday, Jon Heyman of MLB Network reported.

Baez did so because he wants to rest his sore heel, an ailment that's bothered him but not stopped him from playing this season. As of now, Baez is still scheduled to be available to play in the All-Star Game on Tuesday. It's the second such honor of his career.

Baez, 26, is hitting .285 with 21 homers, 57 RBIs and an .874 OPS in 84 games. He's ninth in the National League in homers.
