Bryant hit a two-run homer in the third inning to give the Cubs a 3-0 lead and was 1-of-3 on the day. David Bote replaced him at third base.
Bryant entered the day hitting .299. His homer was his 21st of the season. The Cubs were leading 4-1 in the sixth inning.
