ST. LOUIS (670 The Score) -- Cubs manager Joe Maddon will meet with president of baseball operations Theo Epstein and general manager Jed Hoyer on Saturday night to discuss Maddon's future with the organization.
Maddon's contract is set to expire at season's end. The expectation is there will be an amicable parting of the ways after a highly successful five-year relationship.
"I will meet with them tonight," Maddon said before the Cubs faced the Cardinals on Saturday. "We have not had a talk about any of this (contract) yet. I mean that sincerely. So we will tonight."
Maddon has led the Cubs to a 470-338 record (.582) in five seasons. The Cubs made the playoffs each of the past four seasons, the longest such run in franchise history, and won the 2016 World Series and two NL Central titles under his watch. They missed the postseason this season after a late collapse.
"We will discuss everything moving forward," Maddon said.
