(670 The Score) A milestone moment in the White Sox's rebuild will come Thursday.
Prized prospect Eloy Jimenez has made the team's Opening Day roster and is slotted to start in the outfield when Chicago opens its season at Kansas City. The road for the 22-year-old Jimenez's debut was paved when he and the team agreed to a long-term contract extension last week, rendering service time considerations meaningless.
Jimenez was ranked as the No. 3 prospect by Baseball America and MLB Pipeline. He posted a slash line of .337/.384/.577 in time split between Double-A Birmingham and Triple-A Charlotte in 2018.
Outside of Jimenez's headlining promotion, there was little surprise as the White Sox finalized their 25-man roster late Tuesday. Here's a look at their squad:

Additionally, the White Sox placed outfielder Jon Jay, reliever Ian Hamilton and right-hander Michael Kopech on the injured list.
Jay is dealing with back and hip soreness, while Hamilton has a shoulder injury. Kopech will miss all of the 2019 season after undergoing Tommy John surgery late last season.
