(670 The Score) A day after he was away from the team as he was a bit under the weather and awaiting coronavirus test results, White Sox manager Rick Renteria was back with his club Tuesday.

Renteria was at Progressive Field and set to manage the White Sox against the Indians after testing negative for COVID-19 and clearing other health protocols. Renteria woke up with a cough and nasal congestion Monday, so he decided to get tested and remain at the team hotel out of "an abundance of caution," as the team said. Bench coach Joe McEwing sat in for Renteria in a pregame media session, but Renteria later arrived for batting practice, the Sun-Times reported.

Renteria didn't miss any games, as the White Sox-Indians contest was rained out Monday. The teams play a doubleheader Tuesday, with the opener set for 2:40 p.m. CT.
