(AUDACY) There weren't too many positive takeaways for teams in the NFC North in Week 1. All four teams lost. The total point differential of the division is -66. Each team ranked in the bottom 12 of Pro Football Focus's team grades in Week 1, with the Bears getting the lowest score of the bunch at 54.7.
However, the Bears also provided us with an entertaining scene in the opening week. It wasn't one that had anything to do with game performance r statistics or coaching. In fact, it didn't have all that much to do with football at all.

What the Bears gave us in Week 1 was defensive lineman Akiem Hicks and a GIF that could soon become one of the most popular animated clips on social media throughout the 2021 NFL season. In fact, we already saw it proliferate as a number of Twitter accounts used it as soon as it surfaced.
Imagine you're an offensive lineman ... and that's what you're looking at right before the snap. I don't know about you, but faking an injury and getting a play off when Hicks looks possessed like that might not be the worst idea in the world.
A 2018 Pro Bowler, Hicks had a half-sack, two quarterback hits and three combined tackles in the Bears' 34-14 loss to the Rams, and he'll look for stronger efforts down the road after a matchup to forget.
