Bears begin offseason program Monday

(670 The Score) The Bears are back to work at Halas Hall. Monday marks the start of their offseason program.

As a team with a new head coach, the Bears are permitted to begin phase one of their offseason program Monday and later hold a voluntary minicamp.


Phase one of the offseason program consists of meetings, physical conditioning and rehabilitation only. The Bears are scheduled to hold their voluntary minicamp from April 19-21 at Halas Hall. OTAs start May 16, and mandatory minicamp is June 14-16.

Only four of the 10 teams with new head coaches are beginning their offseason programs Monday, with the others being the Dolphins, Giants and Saints. The Bears hired Matt Eberflus as their new head coach in January.

The Bears currently have just 57 players signed to their 90-man roster.
