(670 The Score) Bears running back Tarik Cohen suffered what appears to be a serious injury to his right knee during his team's 30-26 win at the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday afternoon. The team fears Cohen tore his ACL, coach Matt Nagy said.
"Unfortunately, it looks like Tarik Cohen -- after we get confirmation -- looks like he did end up tearing his ACL," Nagy said. "So, that will be a big blow to us there with that, which is unfortunate. So proud of that kid and he's been really growing so that part you don't like."
Cohen suffered the injury in the third quarter after a Falcons player rolled into his right leg while he secured a fair catch on a punt. Cohen's leg buckled, and he was unable to put any weight on the leg while leaving the field.
Cohen was carted to the locker room after a brief evaluation on the sidelines and was immediately ruled out by the Bears. The Bears will further examine Cohen's knee injury Monday.
"He's all that you could ask for in a teammate," Bears defensive tackle Akiem Hicks said of Cohen.
Cohen had two carries for 21 yards and three catches for 20 yards before exiting Sunday.
