Bears' Khalil Mack, Eddie Jackson sidelined from practice

LAKE FOREST, Ill. (670 The Score) -- Bears star pass rusher Khalil Mack and safety Eddie Jackson were sidelined from practice Thursday as the team began its preparation to play the Pittsburgh Steelers on Monday night.

Mack is still mending a foot injury that he initially suffered during a game on Sept. 26, and he missed the Bears' loss to the 49ers on Sunday. The Bears didn't place him on injured reserve last week, a move that was in consideration at the time. Mack is day-to-day, coach Matt Nagy said, though the Bears could have him sit out again and then use their Week 10 bye the next week to give him extra rest.

Mack has six sacks in seven games this season. Sunday marked just the third game that he had missed in his eight-year NFL career.

Jackson suffered a hamstring injury on the Bears' second play from scrimmage defensively last Sunday, limping off and not returning. It's unclear how long he'll be sidelined, though his status for Monday seems to be in doubt.

The Bears also listed quarterback Nick Foles (personal), tight end J.P. Holtz (concussion), linebacker Alec Ogletree (ankle) and running back Damien Williams (knee) as not practicing Thursday.

Kickoff between the Bears (3-5) and Steelers (4-3) will be at 7:15 p.m. CT Monday from Heinz Field.
