LAKE FOREST, Ill. (104.3 The Score) — Bears quarterback Caleb Williams is back on the practice field.

Williams rejoined the Bears for their on-field work Friday. It marked his first action since suffering a hamstring injury during a game on Sept. 20.

The Bears officially listed Williams as questionable to play against the Packers on Sunday. Head coach Ben Johnson previously announced that Tyson Bagent will start at quarterback Sunday.

Johnson also indicated that Williams remains on track in his rehab work.

"We got him progressively increasing the amount of running that's going on, and of course the throwing aspect of it is a big part of his position as well," Johnson said prior to practice Friday while declining to reveal Williams would be practicing. "Our guys have a good plan in place, and we're just going step by step with that right now."

Sunday will mark Bagent's second straight start after 38-year-old veteran Case Keenum started and led Chicago to a 27-7 win against Philadelphia on Sept. 28.

It's possible Williams could return for Chicago's game at Atlanta on Oct. 18. The Bears then follow that with a short week ahead of a Thursday night game against the Patriots on Oct. 22 in Chicago.

The Bears' injury report for Sunday listed nickelback Kyler Gordon (calf), defensive end Shemar Turner (knee) and linebacker Noah Sewell (Achilles) as questionable to play. The team ruled out running back Kyle Monangai (toe).

The Bears (3-1) and Packers (2-2) will kick off at noon CT on Sunday from Lambeau Field.
