(104.3 The Score) As of Saturday afternoon, the Bears hadn't yet determined their starting quarterback for their game against the Eagles on Monday Night Football, but it won't be Caleb Williams.
Williams was officially ruled out with a hamstring injury. He didn't practice this week and was considered a longshot to play after suffering the injury in a loss to the Vikings last Sunday.
The Bears listed backup quarterback Tyson Bagent as questionable to play as he remains in the concussion protocol. In a step forward, Bagent returned to practice as a full participant Saturday, but he hasn't yet cleared the concussion protocol. Bagent has until Monday to do so, at which point the Bears could consider him for the start. Veteran reserve quarterback Case Keenum would start otherwise.
Bears head coach Ben Johnson was mum on details for the team's plan at quarterback given the numerous variables in play.
The Bears also ruled out linebacker Noah Sewell (Achilles) and defensive lineman Shemar Turner (knee) for Monday. Cornerback Tyrique Stevenson (hamstring) wasn't listed with an injury designation and is set to play.
The Bears (1-1) and Eagles (2-0) will kick off Monday at 7:15 p.m. CT from Soldier Field.
