PITTSBURGH (670 The Score) -- The Bears have ruled out safety Eddie Jackson for their matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Monday Night Football.
Jackson suffered a hamstring injury on the second play from scrimmage in Chicago's loss last Sunday at Soldier Field. He was listed as doubtful to play after not practicing during the week.
DeAndre Houston-Carson is expected to start in place of Jackson at safety.
The Bears ruled out star pass rusher Khalil Mack (foot) on Saturday. The team activated running back David Montgomery from injured reserve Monday afternoon, making him eligible to play.
The Bears' other inactives were linebacker Alec Ogletree (ankle), quarterback Nick Foles, running back Damien Williams (knee), tight end J.P. Holtz (concussion) and cornerback Artie Burns.
Kickoff between the Bears (3-5) and Steelers (4-3) comes Monday at 7:15 p.m. CT from Heinz Field.
