LAKE FOREST, Ill. (104.3 The Score) — Bears safety Coby Bryant exited the team's practice Monday after suffering a leg injury, and he's now expected to miss the next eight to 10 weeks, a source said.
Bryant departed the far fields on a cart with Bears medical personnel after landing awkwardly on his leg. He suffered a hyperextension of his knee, a bone bruise and a small fracture, Schefter reported. Bryant was in clear pain after going down. Monday marked the Bears' first practice in pads of this training camp.
Bryant was the Bears' premier signing this offseason, landing in Chicago on a three-year, $40-million deal. He was coveted by the team with the hope that he could provide the speed and athleticism needed to help the defense improve.
Bryant has played in 58 of a possible 68 regular-season games during his four-year NFL career. He played in 15 games in 2025, when he was a key member for the Seahawks as they won the Super Bowl.
Bears running back Kyle Monangai returned to practice Monday following an injury absence last week.
The Bears will work once again in full pads Tuesday morning at Halas Hall.
