(670 The Score) The Bears have signed linebacker Manti Te'o to their practice squad, they announced Tuesday. The addition came after he had a workout for the team last week.
A standout at Notre Dame, Te'o will be working his eighth year in the NFL. He was drafted by the Chargers in 2013 and spent four seasons in San Diego before playing for the New Orleans Saints for the past three years.
Te'o, 29, has 306 career tackles over 62 games. He played three games for the Saints last December and hadn't been on a roster in 2020.
Te'o takes a spot on the Bears' practice squad previously occupied by kicker Kai Forbath, who was signed to the Rams' active roster Tuesday.
The Bears (5-1) visit the Rams (4-2) next Monday night.
