LAKE FOREST, Ill. (670 The Score) — The Bears on Wednesday signed receiver/returner Trent Taylor and added pass rusher Khalid Kareem (Colts) and safety Quindell Johnson (Rams) in the waiver claim process.
Taylor, 29, primarily served as a punt returner with the Bengals in 2022, averaging 10.3 yards per return. He has 87 receptions for 834 yards and three touchdowns in five NFL seasons.
Kareem, 25, has one sack over 27 career NFL games with the Bengals (2020-'21) and Colts (2022). He was part of the Indianapolis roster as the Bears held joint practices with the Colts earlier in August.
Johnson, 23, was an undrafted rookie who spent this offseason on the Rams' 90-man roster. He was a first-team All-AAC selection at Memphis last season.
Former Bears cornerback Kindle Vildor was claimed off waivers by the Titans on Wednesday. He was waived by Chicago on Tuesday as part of the team's cutdown to a 53-man roster.
The Bears open the regular season on Sept. 10, when they host the Packers at Soldier Field.
