(670 The Score) Bears kicker Cairo Santos was named NFC Special Teams Player of the Week on Wednesday after hitting three field goals and two extra points in a 23-16 road win against the Carolina Panthers on Sunday.
As part of his strong day, Santos hit a career-long 55-yard field goal late in the first half. He's 10-of-12 on field-goal attempts this season.
The Bears have had three different kickers win NFC Special Teams Player of the Week in consecutive years. Eddy Pineiro earned the recognition for Week 2 of 2019 and Cody Parkey won the honor for Week 11 in 2018.
Santos, 28, stepped in as the Bears' kicker after Pineiro suffered a groin injury in August.
