(Audacy) The Bears can go out on a high note this season while simultaneously crushing the Packers' playoff hopes.
Chicago doesn't have much to play for in Week 18. The Bears already have the No. 1 overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft locked in with the Panthers clinching the worst record in the league, and Chicago has no shot to reach the postseason. But the Bears (7-9) will be in Green Bay for their final game of the season, facing a Packers team that's 8-8 and needs a win to clinch a playoff berth.
It's been a bumpy campaign for the Bears, but crushing the Packers' dreams in Green Bay would certainly put an exclamation point on the season. Bears star receiver DJ Moore is angling to do just that Sunday, as he told the Mully & Haugh Show on Tuesday morning.
"It would feel great because, like I said, they came in and beat us," Moore said in reference to the Packers' 38-20 win against the Bears at Soldier Field in Week 1. "So we want to go there and get a win there and upset (their) playoff hopes.
"We want to get back because we lost (to them) at home, so now we want to go to their home and take it over — and it would just add something more special to it by not letting them get to the playoffs."
