(RADIO.COM Sports) Christmas was last Friday, but Bears safety Eddie Jackson has continued to spread the holiday cheer as we approach the new year.
On Wednesday, Jackson reposted several of his teammates' Instagram stories, thanking him for the generous gift of a PS5 that will help get them through the cold months ahead.
It's an awesome gesture from Jackson, who last January signed a four-year contract extension worth up to $58.4 million and with $33 million guaranteed. Jackson has had a few struggles in 2020, failing to receive Pro Bowl honors -- which he earned in 2018 and 2019 -- and delivering some career-low numbers in pass coverage. Still, he's a key part of a defense that carried the Bears for long stretches early in the season, which has helped put Chicago in a position to advance to the playoffs with a win this Sunday.
It won't be an easy road to the playoffs though. It's a one-game road and on the other side of Jackson and the Bears defense will be MVP front-runner Aaron Rodgers and the red-hot Green Bay Packers. Since Jackson entered the NFL in 2017, the Bears are just 1-6 against the Packers. Their one win in that stretch came when Jackson had a key interception in the red zone in the fourth quarter in December 2018.
