Mike Florio: Bears 'should give Ben Johnson a blank check'

(670 The Score) As the Bears have embarked on their coaching search, Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk believes the answer for them should be simple.

It involves offering Lions offensive coordinator Ben Johnson whatever he wants.

"They should just give Ben Johnson a blank check and say, 'Whatever it takes, come coach our team, develop our quarterback, do for us what you've been doing for the Lions for the last three years,'" Florio said on the Mully & Haugh Show on Tuesday morning. "He's so highly regarded in league circles.
He should have his pick of jobs. Last year, there was a report that he scared teams away because he wanted so much. Well, whatever he wanted last year, double it and he's worth it."

The 38-year-old Johnson has worked for the Lions since 2019. He has had great success as Detroit's offensive coordinator across the past three years. Entering Week 18, the Lions rank first in the NFL in scoring offense and are second in total offense.
