(670 The Score) The Bears have expressed interest in signing free-agent cornerback Bashaud Breeland, the Chicago Tribune reported.
A seven-year NFL veteran, Breeland is among the top cornerbacks still available on the open market. The trouble for the Bears is that they have approximately $1 million in salary cap space still available, so they'd need to do some maneuvering with existing contracts to sign Breeland.
Breeland, 29, has 14 interceptions in 94 career games. He has played with the Washington Football Team, the Packers and the Chiefs. Breeland had two interceptions in 11 games for the Chiefs in 2020.
The Bears released veteran cornerback Kyle Fuller in March, a move that cleared $11 million in cap space.
