(104.3 The Score) The Bears and running back D'Andre Swift reached an agreement on a three-year contract extension worth $33.75 million, his agency confirmed. The deal includes $27.5 million guaranteed.

Swift, 27, is entering his third season with the Bears and seventh year in the NFL. He rushed for a career-best 1,087 yards and nine touchdowns last season.

Bears general manager Ryan Poles indicated last week that a deal for Swift was possibly in the works.

"It's definitely something we need to look at," Poles said last Tuesday ahead of the start to this new season. "We will look at. I think he's done a great job. I love his approach to this offseason. He looks amazing. Second year in the system too.

"I like where he's at right now. This is where this job gets tough is really trying to figure out how you want to allocate everything, not only for now but into the future. So we'll have those conversations and see where we want to go from there. But I love Swifty. I love the way that he's working."

The Bears have not yet made the deal for Swift official. He initially signed a three-year, $24-million deal with the Bears in March of 2024.

The Bears kick off their new season Sunday with the Panthers at noon CT from Charlotte's Bank of America Stadium.
