(104.3 The Score) The Blackhawks will open their 84-game schedule for the 2026-27 regular season on the road against the defending Western Conference champion Golden Knights, this announced Thursday as part of the NHL's schedule release.
The Blackhawks will play their first three games on the road before the home opener Tuesday, Oct. 6 against the Blues. The schedule this season is highlighted by a pair of games against the Senators in Dusseldorf, Germany, Dec. 18 and 20.
The Blackhawks have introduced a change to their home schedule this season as regular weekday home games will start at 7 instead of 7:30. The team will play its weekend home games at 6 p.m., the exception being nine matinee weekend games.
The Blackhawks conclude their regular season Saturday, April 10, with the home finale against the Kraken.
This offseason saw the Blackhawks make an aggressive upgrade with the acquisition of defenseman Bowen Byram, whom the team later signed to a long-term contract extension.
The Blackhawks will open without star center Connor Bedard, who underwent surgery on his left shoulder last week.
