(670 The Score) The Blackhawks acquired forward Vinnie Hinostroza from the Panthers on Friday in exchange for forward Brad Morrison, they announced.
It marks a return to Chicago for Hinostroza, whom the Blackhawks selected in the sixth round of the 2012 draft. He then played in 106 regular-season games for them from 2015-'18.
Hinostroza, 26, appeared in nine games for Florida without recording a point this season. He had 22 points (five goals, 17 assists) in 68 games for the Coyotes in 2019-'20. His contract runs through the end of this season.
Morris had recorded three goals and two assists in six games for AHL Rockford this season.
