(670 The Score) Bulls forward Al-Farouq Aminu will exercise his $10.2-million player option for the 2021-'22 season, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reported Tuesday.
The decision was expected, as the Aminu's limited production and injury history meant he wasn't going to command anything near that figure on the open market. The Bulls acquired Aminu from the Magic in late March in the trade headlined by All-Star center Nikola Vucevic coming to Chicago.
Aminu, 30, averaged 1.5 points and 3.2 rebounds in 11.2 minutes in six games with the Bulls. Save for some spot minutes here and there, Aminu wasn't in the Bulls' rotation. He has averaged 7.5 points across 11 NBA seasons.
