Bulls' Ayo Dosunmu lands in concussion protocol, will be out Wednesday

(670 The Score) Bulls rookie guard Ayo Dosunmu has landed in the concussion protocol and will miss Chicago's game at Charlotte on Wednesday, according to the league injury report.

It wasn't immediately clear when Dosunmu suffered the concussion, but he took a lot of contact in a couple instances in the Bulls' loss to the 76ers on Sunday. He was fouled and flew into the stanchion awkwardly while dunking over 76ers big man Andre Drummond, and Dosunmu later knocked heads with teammate Matt Thomas while pursuing a loose ball. Dosunmu played 38 minutes Sunday, then also played 33 minutes in Chicago's loss to Phoenix on Monday.

Dosunmu has been the Bulls' starting point guard since Lonzo Ball was sidelined by a knee injury in mid-January. He's averaging 7.8 points and 2.7 assists while shooting 51.7% overall and 40.9% on 3-pointers in 50 games.

The Bulls are also without Ball, guard Alex Caruso, forward Derrick Jones Jr. and forward Patrick Williams.
